40 Days Without Food - Rescued Chibok Girls

Dame Gloria, one of the abducted Chibok girls, used the chance at the Thank Giving service organized by DSS Health Facility to give a little talk about their abduction. Same says that they stayed for about 40 days without food when they were abducted .

“I did not know that a day like this will come that we will be dancing and giving thanks to God among people. For one month and 10 days we stayed without food. I narrowly escaped bomb blast in the forest", she said.

Chibok Local Government Chairman, Yarakawa while commenting on their release, says the release of the girls was historic, he added in a small speech:

“Before their abduction, I was involved in supervising their feeding, which was organised by the Borno State Secondary Schools Feeding System. So I know them very well.
“These are the real girls and you could see when their parents came; you see their joy, it manifest naturally.
“This is enough to tell you that it is a reality and anybody who says different things or is doubting, maybe the person has a different agenda altogether.”
He also denied rumors that the girls were pregnant. Attendees of the thanks giving service include Minister of information, Lai Mohammed and culture, and Minister of women affairs Aisha Alhassan
