High Court Sentence Man To Death By Hanging For Theft

A 36 years old man has been sentenced to death by hanging, by High Court in Osun.



The accused, Ndubusi Okonkwo, was summoned on a two-tally charge of conspiracy and armed robbery, Daily Post reports. 










As per the prosecutor and state counsel in the Ministry of Justice, Mr. Abiodun Alarape, the convict was secured at Isida Street, Ilesa with dangerous weapons and a Mercedes Benz in his ownership at around 10:30 pm on August 5, 2014. 

The court heard that the obscure vehicle had enlistment number AAA75C and different particulars, all of which the convict had been not able record for. 





Alapere included that the wrongdoing had been submitted by the blamed and some other people who are still on the loose. 

He said that the offense was in opposition to section 6(1)(a) and 5(1) of the theft and fire arm(Special Provision) Cap R11, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004. 

Be that as it may, the direction to the convict, Mr Akponta Oku, begged the equity to temper her judgment with mercy.Delivering her judgment, Justice Kudrat Akano said the convict was liable of the two-number of intrigue and outfitted burglary leveled against him, sentencing him to death by hanging.
