Suspected Female Suicide Bombers Arrested In NNPC, Maiduguri


The Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) Borno Command, on Tuesday caught two female suicide planes, who attempted to smash into drivers at the NNPC Mega Station along Damboa Road, Maiduguri.


The Commandant of the corps, Ibrahim Abdullahi, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Maiduguri on Tuesday that the episode happened at around 6.45 a.m.

"Our faculty at the NNPC station blocked two female suicide planes, who were focusing on drivers on the long line at the NNPC uber petrol station at around 6.45 a.m.

"One of the aircraft got terrified and tossed her bomb and was right away captured, while the other one began pursuing individuals with her unstable yet fortunately, she was shot on the leg by our staff after he pursued her to a protected place.

"We have conveyed our Anti-Bomb Squad to the range," Abdullahi said.

The commandant said that the couple of extremists remaining were searching for easy prey where they could bring about devastation and spoke to all inhabitants in Borno to be on ready and cautious.
