Wiz Khalifa Sister, Lala Thomaz Dies At Age 32

Lala was born on October 31, 1984 to Peachie and Laurence. She survived by her dear sibling, Cameron Thomaz and half sister Lauren Thomaz, grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Wiz Khalifa is mourning the death of his sister Dorien ‘Lala’ Thomaz, who died on Monday aged 32. The rapper - whose real name is Cameron Jibril Thomaz - shared the sad news about his sibling, who is transgender, on social media.

“When you find someone who understands you and sets their personal needs aside to find out yours that’s a beautiful thing,” he wrote in a moving tribute on Twitter.

“The loss of my sibling has been the hardest thing I’ve had to deal with but with your prayers and well wishes my family will get through this. Wiz and Dorien’s mother, Peachie Wimbush, shared some emotional words on Instagram from the film Steel Magnolias, and her child’s obituary and a picture of her holding hands with her daughter... there was no noise, no tremble, just peace. Oh God(dess), I realized as a woman how lucky I am. I was there when that wonderful creature drifted into my life and I was there when she drifted out. It was the most precious moment of my life"

The obituary read: "Dorien “Lala” Thomaz, age 32, passed away peacefully with her Mother by her side on February 20, 2017.

The cause of death has not yet been revealed.
