NHIS Removes Over 23,000 Ghost Enrolees

Over 23,000 ghost enroles enjoying the insurance scheme, have been expelled from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS). The Executive Secretary of NHIS, Usman Yusuf, made this known in Abuja at the honor of ISO/IEC 20000 standard affirmation to Galaxy Backbone Plc.

The NHIS manager said he worked in a joint effort with three other government officers to expel ghost enrolees who had been illegally taking advantage of the insurance scheme.

He recorded the organizations as Galaxy Backbone Plc, Nigeria Communications Satellite Limited and the National Identity Management Commission.

The NHIS manager stated, “I have a cracked ICT team and the members have worked with Galaxy Backbone, the NIMC and NigComSat to remove the ghost enroles. For this, the HMOs are fighting me, but we have to make sure that the right people get the money.”
